Winnipeg Raging Grannies for Social Justice
Like the Holly Near song says: “We are a gentle, angry people, and we are singing, singing for our lives.” Winnipeg Raging Grannies have been singing for our lives for over 20 years, showing up at protests, marches, politicians’ offices, street corners and shopping malls. Grannies protest peacefully against injustice, using simple songs, humour and props to drive the point home. Members of the Winnipeg gaggle will present songs about current issues of concern, and will encourage you all to sing along.
Service Leaders: Debby Lake, Adina Lyon, and The Raging Grannies
