Mutual Aid After Spinal Cord Injury

We mark December 3’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities with the AIM (Accessible Inclusive Ministry) Team and with Leanne Taylor. In 2018, a spinal cord injury from a cycling accident dramatically changed Leanne’s life, meaning she would never walk again. Leanne will share the story of her recovery, focusing on her appreciation for community and all the people who helped her get to the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympics. Leanne may have earned bronze in women’s paratriathlon in Paris 2024 but she feels that her greatest success was the impact that her journey had in shaping the way that her community views those with disabilities.
