Memoirs Matter

A lifetime of experiences and learning can be and should be shared. A memoir is one way we can help others face challenges and opportunities in their lives. It can be hard getting started as there is so much to remember and to reflect on.

Dennis Lewycky has worked in Africa, Asia and Canada. With training in journalism, he managed social and economic development organizations, published books and produced video documentaries. He will encourage us to document our lessons from life, and suggest how to organize our memoirs.

Bring thoughts, questions, and stories for discussion during and after the service!

Centering Thought

We see only glimpses of history, even our own. It is not entirely ours — in memory, in writing it down, in hearing or in reading it. We can reclaim only parts of the past. Sometimes it is enough…
