Calling all Elders
The gift of elders is the long-practiced care for life. It is wisdom, persistence, and not allowing evil to operate in its habitual patterns. It is a solid sense of “enough,” and gratitude for life‘s goodness, showing a humble capacity to be part of the web of life.
It is evident in those who hold tragedy and beauty together, integrating life’s complex and difficult counterpoints within a strong heart that bears reality with love and moral clarity.

Our next Gathering will be on Wednesday, July 24, from 12:30 - 2:30, at the church.
As many have dietary restrictions, please bring your own light lunch or, if you prefer, have something to eat before you come. You can also bring something to share, but only if you wish. Some light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Come as you are! Bring your family, bring your friend or come on your own.
We promise you a welcoming atmosphere, good conversations and a very good time.
This month we are having a “Church Picnic” – plans are still in the making. Because we will be at the church, we have many options – both inside and out. We can adapt to the weather and make sure you are comfortable. We hope to sing some camp songs and a few old favourites.
As always, there will be ample time to socializing – connecting in small groups and one-on-one.
Watch for our Elders Newsletter – it will highlight last month’s gathering (pictures and a few quotes for sure). It will also have concrete details about our plans for our upcoming “Church Picnic”.
