In our denomination, people are considered "young adults" (or YAs) when they are between 18 and 35. In our community we have opportunities to gather in groups of all ages, and we also have times we can "huddle" in smaller groups with people who share a trait or interest. Some young adults create community within our congregation, our western region, nationally, and/or continentally. Try the hastags #uuya and #yaya across your platforms to see what's going on.
Check out our Faith Development programs for adults of all ages, here. If you're a parent, you might want to connect with other parents through our Religious Exploration community (join our Facebook group for parents, here, and our eNews for parents here). If you're a person of colour, you're invited to join our facebook group here, and consider our monthly Theme Discussion group for people of colour. There's an American facebook group for youth and young adults of colour, here. And here we have Facebook groups for Young Adults: our local group, and a national group.

Monthly Social Time
Drop in to the church the second Wednesday of the month for a social gathering planned by young adults, for young adults. This is informal - the planning and the gatherings! Do you have an idea for something to do, or simply want to help out? Wonderful - we'd love to have your help. Simply attend one of these events and let someone know you'd like to get involved.
Monthly Theme Discussion Group
Last Wednesday of the month, September through May (December's group will be on the 19th)
7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the living room (house side of the church)
Facilitator: Andrea James, DLFD
Our congregation focuses on a different topic or theme each month. Theme discussion groups offer a guided time of reflection in small groups, and a great way to get to know others. Participants last year loved the format and opportunity to dive deep into a topic for a couple of hours.

Group members have discussed continuing the conversation over the coffee the following Saturday morning - this piece will be informal, and planned among those who attend.
This year many of our young adults would like to work on something together as a way to give back to the church and/or the wider community. Discussion will happen in the facebook group, during our social gatherings, and via email/text/etc.
