Adult Programming Committee

The Adult Programming Committee (APC) promotes adult learning to enhance the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being of members and friends of the Congregation. Formed in 2010, the APC focuses on programs which are not "UU identified". The Adult Programming Committee generally meets at noon the second Sunday of each month, with a rotating Chair.

APC members for 2019-2010 are:

  • Shannon Breckman
  • Gordon Clark
  • Heather Emberley
  • Jill Moats
  • Harry Peters
  • Doreen Stroud
  • Michael Thiessen
  • Sonya Watson

We welcome new Committee members with an interest in adult learning. This is a creative ministry, where you will deepen relationships, grow, and have fun!

Current ongoing APC programs include meditation group and scrabble. During the fall of 2019, the APC also co-ordinated monthly elders' program facilitation, showed a documentary 'Losing Our Religion' about preachers who are not believers, and facilitated book discussion groups for a 'dialogue on death' special event.

Program facilitators and convenors are usually church members or friends who donate their time on a volunteer basis. We seek volunteer facilitators with knowledge of the subject matter, facilitation skills, and attitudes congruent with UU principles.

If you have an idea for a future program, we’d love to hear from you. Please send a quick email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we’ll be in touch.
