Abiogenesis is the term used to describe the origin of living systems from non-living compounds, or more succinctly, it is the study of the origin of life. Rich LeDuc, who has studied molecular evolution and thought extensively about the topic, will present the Humanist Forum in November. He will talk on the origin of life and understanding abiogenesis as well as present the framework he uses to understand current research on the topic.
These forums provide humanist perspectives on various thought-provoking topics which foster open-minded discussions and intellectual exploration, encouraging critical thinking and reflection. Refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you there!
If you have not attended past UU Humanist Forums, please register here. Materials will be emailed ahead of time in preparation for the forum. Questions? Contact Kris Breckman breckmankris@gmail.com or Wadood Ibrahim wadood2024@gmail.com.
