After much testing with our new full AV system in the sanctuary we have ironed out the kinks. Arthur Burstow has been trained and is now hired to run the system and communicate with our Zoom Technician for Sunday mornings. We are ready to start teaching volunteers for some depth within that AV/Tech position.
If you are good on a computer, focused, able to flow quickly from one task to another, and are interested in learning how to run a soundboard and our camera software, then you are perfect for this.
The intent is to have volunteers who can run the equipment in the sanctuary if our main house AV/Tech person (Arthur) is unable. Having a number of “understudies” is best for our smoothness of delivery. We would love you to join our team.
If you want to come out to see how it is all done before making a decision, join us any Sunday in the sanctuary starting just after 9am.

UPDATE July 31:
Our dedicated team of volunteers hosting the zoom services each week also needs some additional help. Many of those who have worked hard to host our services every week since the pandemic hit, so that we can all participate, are taking a much-needed break from their volunteer roles. Ashlyn Noble has been hired as Zoom Technician to develop the tech files and to run the screen sharing, spotlighting, chat moderation and archiving two Sundays per month, but we need more people with zoom skills (or comfortable with computers and willing to develop them) for weeks when Ashlyn isn’t available.
The tech scripts provide the steps for each of the roles so if you are looking to solidify your Zoom hosting skills in a supportive environment it isn’t as daunting as you might imagine! It’s also a great way to get involved and to help provide a crucial service to this community.
