Jim Silver is a Professor in the UW's Urban and Inner-City Studies Department at Merchants Corner on Selkirk Avenue. Jim was pivotal in the transformation of the old Merchants Hotel into Merchants Corner. He teaches, speaks and publishes extensively on anti-poverty strategies, education and inner-city renewal.
