At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, as we practiced “physical distancing”, many folks felt a need for more connection with others. In response, the Pastoral Care Team formed a “Phone Tree” – a low-tech response that fit the bill for quite a few – especially those who live on their own and/or don’t have ready access to a computer. Once a week they connect to share church news and to have a wee visit. Many appreciated receiving weekly phone calls, especially at the onset of the pandemic. It’s been a big success.
As the seasons are changing, and the “physical distancing” measures are still in place, we are continuing with this service through the fall and winter months.
