It has been our tradition, for decades now, to gift a box, or boxes, of oranges during the month of December to the households who attend our church food bank on Thursday mornings.
We normally have 45 households weekly who register at our food bank, but for the last two Thursdays in December we will be taking on an extra 20 households to help manage the overflow from other banks that will be closed during the holiday period.
We will be available to receive donations at the back of the sanctuary after the Sunday service for the next two Sundays. Donations are tax deductible.
Our Orange Appeal has been one way to show our support for those individuals and families that are struggling, and to provide something extra for their holiday hamper.
