Meetings and Events

A century-old location overlooking the Assiniboine river, a state-of-the-art facility, experienced support staff — everything you need to host a stand-out event is ready for you.

We are currently renting based on new COVID protocols. We have a modern auditorium, featuring natural light and a riverside view. In-house technical equipment includes overhead projectors, sound equipment, and wireless internet. Package pricing is available for weddings, memorial services, and long-term renters please email rentals@uuwinnipeg.mb.ca.

Weddings and Ceremonies

A Unitarian Universalist wedding ceremony is a unique celebration of the joining of two people on their life’s journey. The ceremony honours and celebrates the joining of families, the commitment between two people and the blessing of their future together.

• A couple need not be members of a Unitarian Universalist (UU) church or fellowship in order to be married in a UU ceremony.
• A couple can have different religious backgrounds and/or beliefs. A Unitarian Universalist marriage ceremony is based on the personal integrity of the participants, rather than on institutional forms. Inclusiveness is highly valued, and UU ceremonies strive to honour different religious backgrounds and cultural traditions.

Memorial Services and Funerals

A memorial in our facility is an excellent way to pay tribute to a loved one. The space is open and peaceful, and can accommodate large groups. Our attentive staff are able to work with families or a funeral director to ensure your event goes exactly as planned.
