It is important to note that this land we are fortunate enough to live on is part of an 1871 agreement called Treaty 1, which outlined a relationship between Indigenous peoples and the Euro-descendent peoples who came here, and those who followed. This land is also the home of the Métis Nation. We are all Treaty 1 people here. This congregation is a signatory to the Winnipeg Indigenous Accord and we are fully committed to truth, to healing, and to the Reconciliation process.
