May 12: Food for All, Justice for All

Service Leader: Rev. Meghann Robern
Service Coordinator: Steve Lennon

One of the core values at the centre of Sikh religious identity is radical hospitality through feeding people. Gurdwaras across the world offer free meals to anyone who comes through their doors, regardless of who they are or where they come from; this is the spiritual practice of Langar. This Sunday we will look at what Sikhism can teach us about the connection between feeding bodies and feeding minds and hearts as well.

Hymns:

  • 109 As We Come Marching, Marching (Hymn of the Month)
  • 136 Where Gentle Tides Go Rolling By
  • 121 We’ll Build a Land

** There will be a town hall budget meeting immediately following the service to discuss the proposed budget.**
