The Generosity Path

Five Wednesdays: Oct. 4, 11, 25, Nov. 1, 8

7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Facilitators: Bonnie Thiessen & Lois Whyte

What if generosity means being open-handed and open-hearted not only with our family, friends, community and others, but also with ourselves? What if it’s about activating and affirming hope; about being generous of spirit?

Join with us as we explore our own generous spirits. Discover how to be more skillful in your generosity and develop greater clarity of purpose.

Ideas for this program gleaned from "The Generosity Path" by Mark Ewart, a UU whose focus is on helping congregations grow a culture of generosity.

No prerequisite; open to all

We will be using the Adult level (geared toward 36-50 year olds) but will include many sections of the Young Adult curriculum.

Stewardship Learning Group

Third Wednesday of the month, beginning September 20

7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Facilitator: Rev. Meghann Robern

A continuation of a group formed last year and open to new members, where stewardship has come to mean being part of a caring community. Participants explore how to care for our congregation and ensure its longevity; how to promote, support, and value the multitude of gifts we bring, including time and money; and how we can be faithful stewards, year-round. Past participants describe last year's experience as a journey they took together, and as transformational.

In this shared-learning model each month a participant will explore one resource, then share it with the group for discussion. Resources will be provided; participants are welcome to bring suggestions as well.

No prerequisite; open to all
